What is the best substitute for vegetable oil in BAKING?

I use only olive oil for cooking, but using it in sweets wouldn’t result in a very tasty end product. But vegetable oil is yucky and I don’t want to use it. ): What is the best alternative?

Potter answers:

Canola oil, corn oil, peanut oil, butter or margarine,
or to add less fat to the recipe, try applesauce – I don’t think that really works in anything besides bread or sweets, though so it really depends on what you are making!
