Your Questions About: 0p

Mark asks…

The shares in the company I work for keep dropping and are at 50p now – what happens if it goes to 0p, or -5p?

Will the company go into administration, is it possible to have negative shares, will the company go bust? Would really appreciate some advise, the shares were £5 a few months ago. Many thanks.
Thanks for your responses, i work for Barclays Capital, does this make any difference, thanks

Potter answers:

Shares never go below 0 so it will never reach -5p. If the company goes bust the shares will go down to 0.

You really should redo this question and name of the company you work for so people who analyze the UK or global markets can have a look at it and give you their opinion.
